LACRM - Developer Training This 2 day course is designed to enable the developement teams across user sites to extend the LA CRM application. It is key to delivering the full potential of the partnership.
Module 1 Core Routines for use in ASP Aims : attendees will know how to use the LACRM error trapping facilities and also the database access routines to enquire and update data in the CRM database and in other databases. The core utilities will be covered. toolkit has been issued as a seperate module, compatible with Version 2.3. onward. From Version 3 onward it is to be integrated into the core application.
Module 2 Simple Enquiries Aims : attendees will : Know how to record a simple enquiry both from within the LACRM system and through the API. This will include learning how to access CRM session information such as the current user location and profile. Attendees will also know how to link the LACRM to a web-based search engine.
Module 3 Full Enquiries (Basic) Aims : attendees will : Know how to record a generic full enquiry from within the LACRM system and how to create their own enquiry creation screen using program code.
Module 4 Enquiry Followups Aims : attendees will : Know how to add a follow-up to an existing enquiry from within the LACRM system and how to create their own follow-up screen using the API. Attendees will also learn how to attach a custom follow-up screen to an enquiry.
Module 5 Templates Aims : attendees will : Learn how to create templates for emails and receipts. How to connect a template to an enquiry. Attendees will also learn how to set the email rule for an enquiry.
Module 6 Creating linked enquiries (building an interface) Aims : attendees will : Learn about the LA CRM connector and the LACRM Integration framework, how to configure the generic adaptor to link CRM records to back office records and create linked enquiries. Module 3 showed how to create a custom enquiry screen in the CRM - this module will cover the last part of the anatomy of a custom enquiry screen.
Module 7 The Database Schema and Reports Aims : attendees will : Learn about the database schema so that reports about full and simple enquiries may be designed. Attendees will also learn how to register a new report implemented as an ASP in the LA CRM system.
Advanced Developer Training An advanced course is under development. This will focus upon use of the connector in building interfaces to operational systems.
